All four seasons of ABC’s crime drama Will Trent became available on Netflix on November 3. The series is among the new films and shows joining the service this month, and one of the few whose full run is available there.
Based on Karin Slaughter’s book series, Will Trent follows a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Orphaned as a child and raised in Atlanta’s foster care system, Trent develops a sharp eye for details others overlook, a trait that can put him at odds with fellow detectives.
His past also shapes his partnership with Faith Mitchell. Trent’s work on a corruption case led to the arrest of several Atlanta police officers, including Faith’s father. She later becomes his partner at the Bureau, and the two must work together while navigating their history.
Ramón Rodríguez stars as Trent, with Erika Christensen as Atlanta police homicide detective Angela Polaski and Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell. The cast also includes Jake McLaughlin, Sonja Sohn, Gina Rodriguez, Kevin Daniels and Alexandra Metz, among others.
Will Trent premiered in 2023 and was renewed for a fifth season around the time its fourth-season finale aired in May. Season five is now in production, but ABC has not announced a release date. The series has typically premiered in January or February, and is scheduled to return as part of the network’s midseason lineup. The show is also available to stream on Hulu.
