Apple TV’s new crime drama Nocturne has reached the top of the platform’s global streaming chart after its October 30 premiere. The series is reportedly No. 1 in more than 70 countries and ranks as Apple TV’s most-watched show worldwide, according to FlixPatrol.

Nocturne is followed on the chart by Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, Silo and Dark Matter. New episodes of the 10-part series are released on Fridays.

Created by Rowan Joffé and developed by John Hlavin, Nocturne is adapted from the Joona Linna detective novels by Alexander Ahndoril and Alexandra Coelho, who write as Lars Kepler. Liev Schreiber stars as Jonah Lynn, a former Philadelphia homicide detective who moves to a small Pennsylvania town seeking a quieter life.

A new series of killings draws Lynn into a case linked to Jurek Walter, a serial killer serving time in prison. When a victim believed to be dead turns up three years later, Lynn searches for another person who remains missing. Meanwhile, his protégé Saga Bauer, played by Zazie Beetz, goes undercover to question Walter, portrayed by Stephen Graham.

The cast also includes Chrissy Metz, Gary Carr, Rory Culkin, Poorna Jagannathan, Landon Valentin and Bill Camp. Nocturne is streaming on Apple TV.
