Google has added a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Easter egg ahead of the game’s upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 remake. Searching for “Zelda” or “Ocarina of Time” brings up a Master Sword icon in the bottom-right corner of the results page.

Clicking the icon plays audio of Link drawing the sword alongside a visual from the game’s time-travel sequence. Google’s page then takes on an appearance reminiscent of 1998, the year Ocarina of Time and Google both launched. Clicking the sword again replays the effect and restores the current design. Refreshing the page also returns it to its present-day appearance.

The Switch 2 remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 game is scheduled to launch on November 5. Nintendo announced the remake during its June Nintendo Direct livestream.

Ocarina of Time first arrived in North America and Japan in November 1998, followed by Europe and Australia in December. It was the series’ first 3D game and has since been released on several platforms, including Nintendo 3DS, where a remastered edition titled The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D debuted in June 2011.
