HIDIVE announced Tuesday that it will stream I'm Dating a Dark Summoner Omake Shorts on Friday. The 12-episode chibi-style sketch spinoff is based on Shaoh’s I'm Dating a Dark Summoner (Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru) manga. HIDIVE also released an English-subtitled trailer for the shorts.
The main anime’s cast reprises its roles in the spinoff. Rei Takano voices Amona, Yūki Nishiyama plays Roni, and Hōden Tei Senmai voices Imp. WWWave Corporation’s Deregula animation studio is producing the shorts.
The main anime premiered on Tokyo MX on October 4 and on BS11 on October 7. HIDIVE streams that series as it airs.
The manga follows Amona, a demi-human dark summoner who joins a party led by Roni, a righteous cleric. Though the pair seem likely to clash, they grow close on Amona’s first day with the group.
Shaoh began publishing the manga in Kadokawa’s Dra Dra Sharp# online magazine in 2021. Kadokawa released its eighth collected volume on October 9.
