Homeland has returned to the streaming charts more than six years after its series finale. The drama ranked fifth on the Apple TV Store’s Top 10 TV Shows of the week as of November 3, according to FlixPatrol, while its complete-series collection was on sale for $29.99, down from its usual listed price of $99.99. The discount is described as a limited weekly offer.

The series ran for eight seasons and 96 episodes. Claire Danes starred as CIA officer Carrie Mathison, who suspects that Nicholas Brody, a former prisoner of war played by Damian Lewis, has been turned into a terrorist after returning to the United States. Carrie’s efforts to convince her colleagues lead to a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. The story later follows her into further missions connected to the war on terror.

Homeland premiered on Showtime in 2011 and concluded in 2020. It received generally positive reviews and holds an 85% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, with each season rated Certified Fresh. Its first season received a 100% approval score, according to the source.

The show also earned major awards. Its first two seasons won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Drama, and the first season received a Primetime Emmy Award. Danes won two Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Carrie, while Lewis won once for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Danes has since reunited with Homeland co-creator Howard Gordon for Netflix’s psychological crime thriller The Beast in Me. The series, released in 2025, features Danes as author Aggie Wiggs and has been renewed for a second season. No release date for the new season has been announced.
