Julietta Suzuki’s Otaku Vampire’s LOVE Bite (Oshi ni Amagami) manga is being adapted into a television anime. ShoPro Entertainment announced the adaptation on Wednesday alongside a teaser promotional video and visual.

The story follows Hina, a vampire who moves to Japan after 30 years as a shut-in, hoping to enjoy otaku culture. She meets her neighbor, Kyuta Amanatsu, who resembles her favorite character. His blood also attracts vampires, complicating Hina’s growing connection with him as others pursue Kyuta.

Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes it as a romantic comedy about an obsessive fan who must work out whether she is simply idolizing Kyuta or falling for him.

Suzuki began serializing the manga in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine in November 2022, following a one-shot published in the magazine in April of that year. Hakusensha released the 10th volume on July 17 and is scheduled to publish the 11th on November 20. Viz released the eighth English volume on July 7, with the ninth scheduled for December 1.

Suzuki is also known for Kamisama Kiss, which ran from 2008 to 2016 and concluded with 25 volumes. That manga inspired two television anime seasons and four original anime DVDs.
