The official X/Twitter account for the Pokémon franchise announced on Wednesday that the second part of the paid Expansion Pass DLC for Pokémon Pokopia is scheduled to launch on December 9. Titled 'Dazzling Decorations,' this update continues the content rollout for the cozy-style life simulation crafting game developed by Koei Tecmo.
The new DLC installment features a variety of cosmetic accessories, including sunglasses, a Sylveon ribbon, and a bow tie. In addition to these items, players will gain access to several new Pokémon species such as Doduo, Skitty, and Braixen.
This release follows the first part of the Expansion Pass, which debuted on August 5 and introduced the underwater Bubbly Basin town. That initial paid update also granted purchasers a bonus Dynamic Ditto print recipe and Rare Pokémetal. A concurrent free update enabled players to explore and build underwater in existing towns using a new Dive ability, while adding species like Manaphy, Popplio, Mudkip, Chinchou, Lanturn, Buizel, Corphish, Totodile, Dhelmise, Golisopod, Corsola, Frillish, Lumineon, and Sharpedo.
The third part of the Expansion Pass is planned for release in 2027 and will add another town to the game. Pokémon Pokopia originally launched on March 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2 via a Game-Key Card system, where physical cartridges serve as keys to unlock the digital version on the eShop rather than containing the game data directly. As of August, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company reported that the title has sold more than 5 million units worldwide within approximately four months.
