Supernatural has returned to streaming charts six years after the series ended. The show is currently the No. 4 most-watched title in the United States Apple TV Store, according to FlixPatrol. It also ranks No. 5 among English-language TV shows on Nippon, Japan’s version of Hulu.
In the U.S. Apple TV Store rankings, From is No. 1, Homeland is No. 2 and The Rainmaker is No. 3. Supernatural’s renewed visibility follows the end of Halloween, when viewers may still be seeking spooky stories to watch.
The fantasy series debuted in 2005 and ran for 15 seasons. Its following grew alongside online fan communities, where viewers shared memes, GIFs, fan fiction and artwork. Fans also campaigned for the show’s renewal, including by sending postcards and writing to TV critics. The series has continued to appear in streaming charts as viewers return to watch it again.
Sam and Dean Winchester’s monster-hunting adventures have also continued in comics. Dynamite Entertainment launched a Supernatural comic series in 2025, set between the first and second seasons of the TV show, and later expanded it with separate comics focused on each brother.
In October 2026, Dynamite released Supernatural: Sam Winchester and Supernatural: Dean Winchester. The stories follow the brothers as they go their separate ways after a rift. The ongoing series is scheduled to reach its fourth installment for each character in January 2027.
Supernatural is available to stream on Peacock and can also be purchased digitally.
