John Carpenter and Sandy King’s horror anthology comic, Tales for a HalloweeNight, is returning with a 12th volume. Published by Storm King Comics, the new collection is scheduled to arrive in comic shops on November 11, 2026, and in bookstores on November 17.

The series, which began in 2015, brings together stories set around Halloween. Volume 12 will contain 12 tales, though Storm King Comics has not publicly disclosed their individual plots. Its cover depicts a man resembling actor Jonathan Banks in a Haddonfield sheriff’s uniform, carrying a bloody axe, with severed heads hanging behind him.

Carpenter and King are joined by returning contributors Elena and Jaime Carrillo, Federico De Luca, and other creators. The credits also include writer Frank Tieri and artist Tim Bradstreet, alongside Andrea Mutti, Valerio Alloro, Joe Harris, Nat Jones, and additional writers and artists.

The new anthology follows the release of Carpenter’s first graphic novel, Cathedral. Based on a nightmare he experienced, the story follows Lieutenant Christine Marks and two detectives investigating an abandoned Los Angeles cathedral. Carpenter also produced a soundtrack for the book with his longtime musical collaborators Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies; King co-wrote the graphic novel with Sean Sobczak.
