Autobot combiners unite teams of warriors into towering robots, but their sizes differ widely between Transformers continuities. Marvel, IDW, Kodansha and the Robots in Disguise cartoon each use their own measurements, making direct comparisons dependent on the source. Size can also shape a combiner’s battlefield role, from providing cover to changing formations.
Omega Prime is listed at 7.5 meters in Robots in Disguise, a little taller than the 7-meter Megatron and Galvatron in the same charts. Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus form the giant without additional components. Omega Prime uses the Matrix Blade to defeat Galvatron, while his technical profile suggests his power could exceed Fortress Maximus’.
Rail Racer stands 15 meters tall, close to Ruination’s charted range of 14.5 to 16 meters. The Autobot combines three bullet trains: Railspike forms the torso and arms, Rapid Run contributes a backpack, and Midnight Express supplies the legs. In battle, Ruination initially gains the advantage, but Rail Racer breaks it apart with an Ultra Blast after the Autobot Brothers join the fight.
The Headmasters charts put Raiden at about 16 meters, matching Devastator and Predaking in that continuity. Made from six Trainbots, Raiden fights Bruticus with an energy sword and later takes on Abominus in the same battle. Unlike later Scramble City combiners, his toy cannot swap limbs.
Marvel’s Transformers comics give Superion a height of 86 feet 7 inches, putting him above that continuity’s Predaking at 80 feet and Devastator at over 60 feet. As the first Autobot combiner, however, Superion is portrayed as having a single-minded focus on destroying Decepticons, suppressing the thoughts of the five Aerialbots that form him.
Kodansha’s manga lists the Micromaster combiner Sixbuilder at 40 meters and identifies him as the strongest of the group. The profile emphasizes his physical power rather than height: Sixwing and Sixliner are taller, but rank behind him in strength. In Operation Combination, Star Convoy sends Sixbuilder to Earth to confront Scrash’s re-formed Decepticons.
Sixwing reaches 42 meters in the same manga, making him taller than Marvel’s 86-foot Superion. He is second in height among the Micromaster combiners covered there. Sixwing also takes part in the battle against Battle Gaia and the Jet Corps before joining the Autobot Scrum Combination.
At 45 meters, Sixliner is the tallest of Kodansha’s Micromaster combiners. His six components—Alan, D-Go, Joe, Leaf, Night and Spark—form a body larger than Sixwing’s or Sixbuilder’s. Sixliner also carries the Vaccine Program Gun, which restores Decepticon Micromasters to their original Autobot programming.
IDW’s continuity puts Victorion at roughly 150 feet, around 63 feet taller than Marvel’s Superion and nearly four times the height of IDW’s 38-foot Optimus Prime. The six Torchbearers form Victorion, with Pyra Magna as the torso and Rust Dust as the chest. Her gravity abilities let her redirect a satellite blast aimed at Optimus Prime and bend light to conceal Autobots as they escape.
Guard City is listed at 60 meters in Operation Combination and Kodansha’s manga, with a stated jumping capability of 500 meters. Five emergency-response vehicles form the combiner, with Fire Chief as the torso and Streetstar, Sparkride, Fly-Up and Safety as the limbs. Guard City can rearrange its components into Repair, Mach, Signal and Attack formations; his Mach Formation gives him an advantage over Battle Gaia’s Fire Formation.
