Sylvester Stallone’s 1982 Action film First Blood has entered Paramount+’s most-watched movie rankings in the United States after returning to the service earlier this month. FlixPatrol lists the film at No. 7 on the platform’s Top 10 Movies chart.

First Blood returned to Paramount+ alongside two sequels: Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and Rambo III (1988). Stallone is also appearing on the service’s television rankings with Tulsa King, which is No. 2 on the Top 10 TV Shows chart, behind South Park.

Based on David Morrell’s 1972 novel, First Blood stars Stallone as John Rambo, a former Green Beret who is pursued by local law enforcement after being arrested for vagrancy. Richard Crenna plays Colonel Sam Trautman, Rambo’s mentor, while Brian Dennehy portrays Sheriff Will Teasle.

The film earned $125.2 million against a reported $15 million budget and has an 87% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. It launched a franchise that later continued with Rambo (2008) and Rambo: Last Blood (2019).

The series is also set to continue with John Rambo, a prequel featuring Noah Centineo as a younger version of the character. Jalmari Helander directed the film, and Stallone joined as an executive producer in March 2026. Lionsgate has scheduled its theatrical release for June 4, 2027.
