Yayū Murata will launch a Kickstarter campaign on November 19 to fund an English-language edition of the second volume of Across the Strange Edge (Okashiki Sekai no Kyōkaisen). The project will also offer a deluxe hardcover omnibus containing the first two volumes, with a special cover created in collaboration with Takashi Kumatani. The campaign aims to raise €7,000 by December 17.

If the campaign is funded, the books are scheduled for digital and physical release in May 2027. Two additional deluxe hardcover volumes are planned. Rewards will include an original shikishi art board and art prints.

Murata previously launched a Kickstarter for the English edition of the first volume on April 1. It raised €8,774 against a €3,200 goal, and physical rewards began shipping on September 8.

The manga follows Misuzu, who has struggled to form close relationships, and her classmate Chizuru, who is shunned because she can see supernatural beings. After an unsettling incident at a summer festival brings them together, the girls begin to share their respective worlds and develop a close bond, while moving toward a boundary that threatens to separate them.

Murata first published Across the Strange Edge as a one-shot on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE platform, where it won an award. The series began serialization there in 2020, and Shogakukan released its fifth and final compiled volume in August 2021.
